Hi. :)
Just wanted to write a little bit about what happened today.
So.
I was supposed to get some materials for the cosplay gig, right?
And.... I'm a real nub at these things.
Sigh.
So when my buddy told me to go to Chinatown to get stuff,
naturally, as you'd expect,
I got lost.
I know right?
I bet the non-locals [lol] weren't as lost as I was.
['Foreigners' isn't such a nice term, I feel]
It didn't help that [almost] everyone barely spoke English.
Or we could reverse it this way.
It didn't help that I barely spoke Chinese.
[I prefer thinking of it this way]
[I'm not pulling the whole 'ENGLISH IS #1' thing, ok?]
[I wish I could speak brilliantly in Chinese]
[But unfortunately, I can't]
[So anyway]
I haven't told this to any of you yet,
but I meet the strangest, most interesting and nicest people when I'm alone.
[I have the knack for getting particulars from females when I'm alone too]
[They just give it to me, I didn't ask -.-]
[It's a good thing I'm not a guy lol]
No, really.
[You'll see why when I elaborate in other posts but anyway]
So I was lost, right,
and I couldn't find the cloth and etc.
Note that I'm the kind of person who needs something,
glances around the room and doesn't see it,
and claims it can't be found. [lol]
Imagine my surprise when I turned a corner after stomping up and down staircases in the hope of finding the Promised Land of Cloths,
and there it was!
Man, it was like finding El Dorado.
Skipped into the first cloth shop and the most helpful assistant helped me to pick out the stuff I needed.
Her name's Meiling - I think.
Hopped around for awhile and found a camping shop with two chinese-speaking assistants,
and they did their best to help me too.
[They get the 'Good Effort' prize]
and I was passing by a wig shop,
when I almost bumped into this lady.
I was like: *jaw drops* She's beautiful. Like model-beautiful.
I was right.
They turned out to be pageant queens and models,
and they were flying back to the Philippines for their cover shoot.
[I overheard this lol]
One of them even showed me the photo in which she had the pageant crown on her head.
I was like ..........ok. *sigh* I'm a commoner.
But before all these,
when I almost bumped into the lady,
she saw me and was like 'oh :O'
and she came over and tugged my hair and she said with wide eyes,"so pretty"
I was like: NO, NO U PRETTY.

and then, from complete strangers,
we became friends and tried on different wigs and commented on them and then her friend showed me the pageant photo.
Aren't they interesting? Lol
The lady was quite adamant about doing my makeup for the cosplay too,
she said that she'll make me look like Barbie. [lol]
I said that.. I wasn't going for that look.
[I think I am unconsciously trying to perfect that look, because it's always my default expression for almost anything]
But it was an interesting experience, and there were unpleasant people too,
but let's not talk about that.
Btw,
I told my mum that I was gonna cosplay.
She just raised her eyebrows,
which was a whooooole lot better than what I expected,
which was something along the lines of WTFBBQ.
So yeah,
my day has been preeetty good.
heh

I made it my desktop background and now,
my screen must always be empty of finder windows so that I can swoon,
which brings me to how,
I give myself a heart attack every time I look at it [like (&^$()*&^&* times a day] because.....
You know.

Hello, my brethren.
How have you been?
I must apologize for the long absence.
I just came back from United States a week ago..
and it's Chinese New Year, you see.
CNY is a huge thing here,
and it basically means I leave early in the morning and come back late at night.
That's the schedule for me annually, at least.
But anyway,
I really wanted to put up some stuff while I was in the US,
but apparently,
the Mariott's $12/day 'high-speed connection' for businessmen wasn't fast enough.
Not that the Hilton's was any faster. Tsk.
Sigh, ok ok.
I'm being grumpy.
I know.
It's because of rimo. Double tsk.
I'm so T^T [it's a face, btw] whenever I think about it.
But I don't wanna talk about it.
ANYWAY,
if things go well,
I might actually be cosplaying with a dear friend of mine!
Idk how things will go,
but I am definitely excited.
