This will be a long post.

EMBRACE YOURSELVES.

Whew.
The past few days have been exceptionally packed!

It's not unusual for weekends,
but even my weekdays.. :S
But packed is good.
Packed means that I am not wasting my life away. Lol

Just to sidetrack abit,
I've always seen life as a meter.
And it never recharges.

To put it more gamer-wise,
it's like being induced with poison,
and every step deducts some hp.

Something like that, lol.

ANYWAY.

How have you guys been?

I'm not asking you for the sake of asking you, you know.
You are always free to comment or email me. Lol
[Note: Not an invitation to treat towards spammers/stalkers]
[You can't pin me down with that in a court!!]

Just yesterday,
I went for an interview as a kitchen help at this Christian cafe.
It's really cool,
and I get to have a chef uniform,
tough boots and go for training courses!

It'll be soo cool if I get to work there.
Even at $6/hour. :D
[Not the confirmed pay/job, so no confidentiality breach!]
[Ha! You got nothin' on me, babyyy~♫]

Next,
*brace yourselves for the excuse*

You see..
The reason why I've been holding
this post off for so long is because..

I haven't actually eaten my どら焼き, Dorayaki yet. @__@
It's a little strange,
cause I've been giving it out.
But yeah, I've not actually tasted it yet.

To cut the story short,
∴ Not tasted = No pictures

And I promised it in this post as a make-up for the previous one. @__@

BUT! Guess what~♫
That's right.

I have a make-up for the make-up!

You see,
yesterday..
My mum decided to drag me down to this sale,
and we carted off a whole load of Japanese tableware.

I now have my own personal bowl + spoon. *smug*
[It's like I'm nine again!]

And today, my mum has decided that,
she wanted to christen the tableware.

This is the result.
And that is mine. An awesome green tea colour.
[Yes, we bought the tea set too.]
[Again, yes, we splurged spent quite a bit.]

I know it's not exciting,
but I love my crockery. :)
[Apparently, I am just 'being a girl'. Agree?]

Moving on,

the つけ麺 [Tsukemen] that I promised!
Hoho.. Doesn't it look good?

Tsukemen is actually cold noodles with hot broth.
In the broth, there is pork belly,
[but I used bacon]
mushrooms and stew.
It was actually really good. o__o

And yes, as you can see,
I coupled it with sake.
[Click sake for the wiki if you don't know what it is.]

Also, I don't know if you guys have eaten one before.
But at Japanese restaurants,
their eggs are different.

Like, the eggwhite is solid,
but the yolk is half solid, half liquid.
Which means that when you slice it,
the yolk won't spill, yet it's not all..
Bleh-ish like hard boiled eggyolks.
[In hindsight, this looks like a tongue twister.]
[Maybe it's just cause I'm tired. :]

Get it? :D

And this is the reason for the picture below.

My accidental genius. :)
[I actually didn't know how to boil an egg,]
[and somehow it just came out like that. .__.]

[No, seriously.]

So here is the website where I get all my Japanese recipes from.
cookingwithdog [Click it, you know you want to.] is actually,
a Youtube channel and their recipes are worth a shot. :D

Moving on,
my dad's birthday was last Thursday, 22nd September.
We got him a beautiful cake from Canelè.

And it was pretty good.

However.. What I would like to point out is..

Did you see what I see?
Let's zoom in.

What on earth is Truffle doing?

I have no idea.
Because I only realised this,
after looking back at all the photos.

My dog was always right at the top left corner..
Doing.. Something mysterious. .___.

Anyway,
there's more stuff about food,
but I'll just leave those for the next post.
[Promise that it'll be shorter!!]

Right,
and something happy.

I've GRADUATED from my course!! :D

Just got my results last week,
and I did pretty well!

I am soo estastic,
because this means that I can focus on other things in the year to come! :D

And of course,
thank YOU, JESUS!
I could not have done it without Your help!!

Whew.
It has been a long day and post,
but the coming week holds more stuff.

∴ I'll see you when I see you!

All glory goes to You,
and none to me. :)

It is 3.30 am.
And I am EXHAUSTED.

I know, I know.
I am overdue on my post again.
BUT, I have a good reason this time!

You see..
*thinks of an excuse*

..Kid!
It's because I was making どら焼き~!
[Dorayaki]
..Yes, till 3 am.

*cries*

I shall elaborate more in the next post.
And the above picture is a preview of what's to come. :)

So expect,
happiness + Japanese food.

What more could a reader ask for?

Crawling to bed as I speak....

Okay, shush.
Don't prove me wrong. :x

こんにちは!
[Good afternoon!]

This week is officially Sabbath week.

Sabbath week is scheduled in our church,
as a week of rest for the full-time church workers,
but also for the members.

It's not really a week,
more like five days,
but better than nothing, right?

Sides, they [FT workers] sure earned their rest!

But anyway,
since it's Sabbath week,
this makes me a little free-er than usual.
And I'm not really good at managing time,
so you've guessed it.

I'm whiling my time away. );

But well, a friend has a math exam this Saturday.
So I'll work up some discipline to re-learn my math.

"Wow. She's nice."

If that's what you're thinking,
stop it right now.

Not to burst your bubble or anything,
but I'm really helping him
because I need to keep my brain rusty-free.

And that is my version of Friends with Benefits.
[Note: Never actually watched the movie though.]
[Don't intend to, either.]

Moving on,
the Edge celebration was okay.
There were games, videos commemorating the decade,
and a place to collect our new Edge t-shirts.
[Which I'll show you once it comes out of the wash.]

But I was really looking forward to the new album!
[Though I only got it on Sunday. ]
[But hush, let's not be nitpicky with the details. ]

Here's one of the songs on the album:
[Enjoy!]

On Sunday,
I had an exam to prepare for.

If I pass it,
I have achieved one of the requirements,
in becoming a cell group leader of my church.

It was hard, though.
But I'm glad it's over.

So not much to say on this one.

Next,
I think it's time to tell you.
That I'll be going to 気仙沼, 宮城県,
[Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture]
[It's a part of Japan. Click this for the wiki page.]
on the 10th October,
and I'll will only be back on the 17th.

Why? You might ask.
Well, if you clicked the link,
or remember what happened in mid-year,
a tsunami struck Japan.

So I'll be helping out with the crisis there.

"Wow. She's REALLY nice."

Again, stop it right there.

While I love Japan,
going over there to help out,
will force me to exercise.

What a shallow reason. :D

*shrugs*
So sue me.

[Read in between the lines, if you can. :)]

Speaking of Japan,
I am making dinner for my family tomorrow!

I'll be making つけ麺, or Tsukemen,
[which literally means Noodle or something along those lines]
and if it turns out good,
I'll attach a link to the recipe,
[cause I need to test if the site's reliable]
and pictures. Definitely pictures. :)
[Disclaimer: If they don't look appetising, pardon me.]

Well!
It has been a long post!
I should leave.

But before I go,
a homie of mine -
[you know who you are, lool]
mentioned that with Chrome,
[and Firefox, which I only found out much later,]
he couldn't see his cursor when he scrolled over the text.

Well, kiddos.

As much as I would like to give you a happy ending..
..I can't solve that.

So instead,
I'll just do the lazy thing,
[Yeah, don't pretend you don't know what I mean.]
[It's that 'thing' we all do.]
where I'll just say...

"This blog is best viewed with Internet Explorer. Yepp."

*hears people leave with a TYVM*
[That's what I was told people would do.]

But whatever the case,
once again,
I wanna thank you for taking the effort to read this.

If you managed to read your way here,
I applaud you. Really.

*three-finger bow*

You've earned it.

That awkward moment when you have to decide.
Is he my homie? Or just a homie.

Bonjour les amis!
How have you been? :)

The past two weeks have been crazy!

But first.
Guess what? :D

The Edge Conference is BACK!
WOOHOO!!

If you didn't know,
it is a youth conference hosted by my church,
from the 1st - 3rd December 2011.

It's gonna be awesome,
I just know it.
And we're bringing in great speakers!
So no matter where you are in this world,
you should definitely not miss it!

If you are interested,
we can arrange for homestays etc.
So lemme me know before 15th November,
[via email]
because there are only a number of homes available for homestays.
[Click the Edge Conference for more details!]

Speaking of which,
tomorrow is the Edge's birthday!
[It's a little bit late into the post to be telling you this, but]
[Edge = the youth ministry in my church]
And we are a decade year old!

Happy Birthday, Edge!!

Together with the Edge celebration,
the Edge band's new album will be coming out tomorrow!

Looks awesome, right. I know.
*am proud of my friends*

Right.
So my week's been filled with
phone whistletunes, being on hold and talking.

Way too much.

You see,
I've been calling external churches to see if
they are interested in coming for the conference.

And it makes me sad when they say no.
Because I know how much impact the conference can have
on a Christian's spiritual life.
Not that it is special because of all we've planned,
but because the presence of God can definitely be found there.

Well,
whatever it is,
I'm glad I got the chance to promote the Edge Conference.

And that is a week of my life summed up.
[I know, it's like I do nothing but talk.]

So I'll see you guys in two days or so,
because I've got an exam to prepare for on Sunday.

Au revoir!

Apparently,
if you find these yellow hearts in your
Poifull box,
[click Poifull if you don't know what it is]
it will be your lucky day.

While I don't believe in luck,
yellow hearts are always welcome! :)

Boy, had I a rough day.
My last exam is coming up on Saturday,
and I've only covered five chapters.

Day after day this week,
I've got something on,
so I've been forced to cancel some stuff.

Sigh.

And today is the first time someone's told me off in quite a while.
Strange, too.
Since this morning when I woke up,
I just had this thought:
'I've not been scolded for a long time now. Hmmm..'

So I guess it's time to reset the clock on that one.

"If any household or town refuses
to welcome you or listen to your message,
shake its dust from your feet as you leave."
-Matthew 10:14 [NLT]

Yupp, therefore..
I won't give up and I'll press on for Jesus!
In the event that I DO have to shake dust from my feet,
then when worse comes to worst,
you know what?

You can have my sandals too. :)
