The Next Generation
written on 26/10/12
We might be young now;
but one day, we won't be.
The pillar of the church;
will the next generation be.
So treat us with care;
treat us well.
For only time could tell.
How you handled the responsibility as the maturer adult;
how you nurtured the young'urns; as tho' they were your sprouts.
Don't neglect us - the youth ministry.
And shall we not; when we turneth thirty.
One day, new leaders will rise and ascend.
If you treat us badly now, where will you be, then?
Surely not cast out and down;
as some may have treated us.
Because the end of the day is drawing near;
and only our Beloved Christ;
is the one we hold dear.
So fret not; my old wrinkled ones.
Because my leader - is in fact,
Jesus Christ, the only God-begotten Son.
Lay your head upon a pillow and rest with ease;
for we will treat you well,
and not pay you back with disease.
Ruin; will not the church be.
That is what we strive for - won't you work alongside with me?
