As promised, I'm here! :D
Right,
so I mentioned before that
there were two
weddings I had to attend.
To be honest,
I ended up only going for one,
and that was an eye-opener.
Basically,
it's a
Malay wedding,
and it was my first time attending one,
so that was quite interesting.
The food was good,
the people were friendly,
and dancing was involved.
[
And when there's dancing,
you know it's a parrrtayy!]
No pictures though. :x
The next event that happened after that,
was
the Banquet 2011.
It's basically a
prom-like event for
the youths in my church.
[
Only 18 and up]
The dressing was formal,
and when I arrived,
[
albeit one and half hours late]
everything was
so beautifully done up.
The decorations were
silver, black and cream.
Balloons were dangling from the ceiling,
there was a live band playing
and the attendees!
My, my.
What a handsome lot!
Everyone was dressed to the nines,
even the guys!
There were games,
[
we were grouped according to where we were seated]
and there were awards for Best Dressed etc.
I didn't get any awards,
but that's fine.
Because I had fun!
Highlight of the night:
When friend A showed up in his formal attire,
unintentionally ending up looking like a Chinese triad boss.
What was priceless,
was his attempt at acting like one.
I was gonna take pictures,
but unfortunately my phone camera doesn't make the cut.
So yes, you're left with this:
Excuse the glasses of orange juice.
What? No alcohol?
Yes dears, 18 and up, remember? :D
Tis great to be a law-abiding citizen!
On to the next subject,
I have recently decided that:
1) I am to master the art of speaking like I'm in a period drama.
[E.g I hath taught thou ye olde art of reading!]
2) I am to [also] master the art of using chopsticks properly.
[-___- Srsly, it is not as easy as it looks.
According to my cousin, I have to train up my finger muscles.
So yes, my fingers do push-ups.
Wanna see me flex my finger biceps?]
