Packing, packing, packing..
Baking, baking, baking..
Some Apple Banana Crumble Muffins for the trip!!
OKAY OKAY. BakED!
So sue me! >:Don't worry,
I still remember which posts I'm supposed to do,
and yes,
I'm gonna bring my DSLR this time round.
[So do expect photos,
and a probable amount of web loading time when I get back.]
Right.
Writing this at 2am,
so my mind's quite blank.
Humm..

Guess what day it is today?
...
That's right!
If you've been on
Google,
you would have been informed that today is...
You ready?Credits to http://transitioncolorado.ning.com/profiles/blogs/a-summer-solstice-poem-theTHE FIRST DAY OF THE SUMMER SOLSTICE 2011!! :DCool right?!
I don't really know whether it's reliable or not,
but 21 June is supposed to share an
equal amount of sun- and moon- light!
Doubly cool!
I tried
Wiki-ing it,
but I couldn't understand the stuff written there,
[
Cause I'm a nub like that]
hence this is really..
the end of my excitement.
:|I got my results back yesterday,
and I've been pretty upset since.
I don't really wanna talk about it,
but I decided to go shopping today with my friends,
and somehow, it made me feel better.
Retail therapy works for me, apparently.Got loads of clothes, shoes etc etc...
But I enjoyed my old friends' company more.
[
I say old because...
I can't seem to find a better word to match at 2am.]
Anyway,
I'll probably be starting school in two weeks,
and I've been thinking of getting a job. So..
That might be interesting to talk about when I actually get round to it,
since I'm considering a job possibility at
Universal Studios.
I think I would like a mascot job...
Credits to http://www.art.com/products/p10341396-sa-i852539/paddington-bear.htmI wanna be Paddington Bear!! :D[
That's right, everyone's favourite English bear!
Cause I'm predictable like that. Psh.]
What else, what else...
Ah! I'll be heading to
Bintan in two days! :D
That would be really exciting!
Hummm Thursday,
Credits to http://movies.about.com/od/yourhighness/ig/Your-Highness-Photos/Natalie-Portman-Poster.htmmight be catching that new
Natalie Portman movie,
followed by a special
evangelistic session held for the youths of my church.
It's really to teach us how to reach out to the people around us,
so that should be interesting.
After that,
I'll rush down to the jetty to catch the ferry,
and it's off to Bintan! :D
Will be back on
Saturday though,
so it's not a long trip.
It's to celebrate my uncle's birthday,
so my extended family's heading there too.
Can't wait! :D
One last thing,
TOTALLY forgot to wish all you dads out there,
a
HAPPY FATHERS' DAY!
Thank you for bearing with us children all these years![
Cause I'm concise like that. HA!]

Warning: Long post ahead!Hey guys!
How have you been!
I'm back home,
and it's been 2 days since I've been back.
I know I said that I didn't have pictures,
but I managed to take a few,
and only got them last night,
hence the delay.
But back to the main topic,
camp was great!
I miss the campsite already!
Until now,
I can't believe I didn't watch a single TV program for 5 days!!The camp's actually a
youth church camp,
and a typical day would consist of
2 sessions, 1 afternoon of games,
and... Queuing up for meals in between.. -____-
Sidenote: Session = Worship + Sermon
Games = ...Be prepared to get down and dirty
So.
Highlights.
Well, the speaker's definitely a highlight. Haha
He's
Ben Prescott of
Planetshakers.
And he's just such an anointed speaker!
Everyone experienced a touch from God,
and the altercalls were always
jam-packed full!
Hummm,
I got an
egg to the face during a round of
Captain's Egg
[
which is really just Captain's Ball, cept the balls are eggs.
It was either letting the other team score a point,
or an egg to the face. So it was totally worth it. :D]
We got to slide on banners covered in soap water,
and crash into each other. [
Which hurt alot!]
There were lots of
HILARIOUS events which happened during the camp,
like how person A woke up to the sound of an owl
and called his friends,
howling that he was afraid because he thought that there were
zombies outside his room. [
LOL]
A roach the size of a baby lizard,
footprints embedded into the parquet floor.
Plenty of Kodak moments![
I'm being so all-over-the-place,
because there is just too much to share,
and I don't know how to say it all in detail!]
There was also a session of
Night Games,
and it was really just a
Cluedo game,
played in reality, with the
entire campsite being the 'possible murder place'.
That was actually quite creepy. :S[
Really.]
Meals were my least favourite part,
because the queue was just too long,
and on several occasions, actually ran out of food by the time it got to me. :<
But the whole camp's really memorable because of
the sessions,
and how I got my relationship with God back on track,
and full steam ahead! :DGreat roommates definitely helped too. :)We actually didn't fight for the bathroom,
and they were asleep even before 'Lights Out'.
[
So I felt pressured into sleeping early too.]
That about sums up the whole camp in general. At first,
two sessions with
alot of worship felt like too much in a day for me,
but after the 3rd day,
I realised that those were the highlights and it felt so good to worship God everyday.
It's like
a slight peek into heaven,
and it really is making me look forward to it. Haha
Well, here are the pictures!
Little, but better than nothing right?
The Tipi site[
Disclaimer: Fake replicas]
For the fashionistas of those days!
[If you'll look closer, there are beads, feathers etc. I reckon that's as close as one could get to fashion back then.]
For the musically inclined.
Wonder what they played in those days..?
For the warriors.. Probably.
Enter the wrong tent and beware! :O
My group's stupid wonderment at a real well,
which led to being mobbed by too many mosquitoes. -__-
Remember Cluedo?
Picture this scene, cloaked in darkness..
You can't even see the swings,
with only a single white lightstick to light the way.
Ftw.

Dear everyone,
I'll be in Malaysia for
five days to participate in a camp.
I hope that it will interesting,
though I don't intend to bring back any pictures..
[Disclaimer for no pics posts right there!]
Because it's a camp after all,
so I don't wanna lose it in the mud or something... -__-
Alright!
Gotta be up in a couple of hours!
Will see you soon!
XOXO,
Rachel

Credits to http://syringedriver.co.uk/summer-is-herenot-that-you-can-tell/Rain.Isn't it beautiful? How strange,
that rain makes me think of gloominess,
and yet it fills me with calm.
Just like the colour blue.
It supposedly makes a person feel calm,
and yet it reminds one of being, well,
blue.
I hate hot June days.I really hate it.I remember being young
er,
and dozing off on the cold marble floor after a couple of reads,
because it's just too
hot to do anything.
And yet, for the past two years,
June has been rainy.
Lovely. It was sunny a week ago,
when my study break just started.
Then a slight drizzle,
then the first blanket of rain on the first day of my exam.
I remember praying,
asking God to keep the rain there till I was out of the exam hall. And it happened. And I prayed again the next day.And it happened again. And the next day,
and the next day.I'm glad God heard my prayers,
but apparently,
there is a flood in town now,
which is where my school is.
...LOL. Opps. :xAh well.
