Seeing how depressing the world was,
I crawled into the depths of my heart,
shivering and shaking in a corner.
I then heard a knock,
on the walnut door of my heart,
and with a quaking voice, said,
"Who's there..?"
The reply that came was a gentle voice,
"Draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you."
[James 4:8]
So I crept to the door and opened.
Finding Jesus there,
I invited Him into my heart,
hugged Him tightly,
and cried and cried and cried.
He patted my head gently and said,
"Hush now, I'll always be here for you."
And looking up,
I saw the love shining so brightly from His face.
All for me, people. All for me.
So I got the courage to stand up,
got the courage to face the world again..
Except now?
I have Jesus on my side.
Look out world! :)
